Do the easy workout.
I’ve been doing something different lately.
Just a small tweak, but I’ve been cutting workouts short and reducing the effort.
It might not sound like a big deal, but there was a time where I couldn’t do a short or easy workout.
I would either give a 10/10 effort for a workout that was sometimes hours long, or I’d be so exhausted that I skipped the whole thing.
It was always one extreme or the other.
All or nothing.
Perfect or "off track."
So to be here now, cutting workouts short to hang out with friends or reducing the effort because I had a crazy day at work... feels like a small but powerful reminder of how far I’ve come.
This isn’t really about easy workouts.
It’s about consistency with a lower risk of failure and falling off track.
It’s about learning to listen to your body instead of controlling it.
It’s about no longer having such high standards on what you think is worth doing.
The easy workout is just a symbol. It’s a small sign that progress is possible and sustainable.
So yeah… I’m doing an easier workout today.
And I’ll probably do it later this week too, and that’s something I’m proud of.
Let this be a reminder that small steps can lead to massive change.
You don’t have to be perfect to make progress. You just have to keep going.
